Rapper Hannan's popularity skyrocketed after his powerful performance of "Awaaz Utha" was released during the anti-discrimination student protests.

Although fans loved his songs, Hannan faced a series of challenges, including imprisonment for his work. While he has appeared in several mixed albums before, this will be the first time the popular rapper is set to release a solo album.

The album's name has not been finalised yet. Recently, he told Prothom Alo that the album will have a total of nine songs, some of which have already been recorded.

On July 18, during the protests, Narayanganj rapper Hannan released "Awaaz Utha". The song quickly became popular and resonated with the public.

In an earlier interview with Prothom Alo, Hannan explained, "I wrote the song while students were demonstrating in the streets. Although some parents eventually joined, many remained silent. They didn't speak out or participate in the protests, unable to raise their voices. That's what inspired me to name the song 'Awaaz Utha Bangladesh'".

On July 25, Hannan was arrested by the police in Narayanganj. After being presented in court, he was taken into a two-day remand. The young rapper was released on August 6, following the fall of Sheikh Hasina's government.

The names of Hannan and fellow rapper Shezan were recently featured in the seventh-grade "English For Today" textbook. In response, Hannan told Prothom Alo that it was a proud and memorable moment. He expressed his excitement, saying, "We used to learn about others from textbooks, and now the next generation will read about us. It's an incredible honour".
