Dhaka Bank, ICMAB to launch co-branded credit card

Dhaka Bank PLC recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) for the development of a co-branded credit card for the latter's members.

Sheikh Mohammad Maroof, managing director of the bank, and Mahtab Uddin Ahmed, president of the ICMAB, penned the MoU at the bank's corporate office in the capital's Gulshan, the bank said in a press release.

The card comes with benefits, such as an annual fee waiver, unlimited free access to Balaka Executive Lounge at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, and free global lounge access to over 1,300 airport lounges in 120 countries through Mastercard's Lounge Key programme.

It also enables preferential banking facilities, such as low interest rates on loans.

AKM Shahnawaj, additional managing director of the bank, AMM Moyen Uddin, deputy managing director, Md Mostaque Ahmed, deputy managing director and chief emerging market officer, Akhlaqur Rahman, deputy managing director (corporate), HM Mostafizur Rahaman, senior executive vice-president and head of retail business division, and Sahabub Alam Khan, senior executive vice-president and chief financial officer, were present.

Md Akhtaruzzaman, vice-president and deputy managing director (finance) of Dhaka WASA, Md Kausar Alam, vice-president and group chief financial officer and company secretary of Seven Rings Cement Bangladesh, Md Mahbub-Ul-Alam, executive director of the ICMAB, and Jubaer Hossain Pavel, manager of merchant and commerce at Mastercard, were also present.
