UIU hosts CSE FEST 2025

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) of United International University (UIU) organised a two-day contest between January 17 and 18 for college and university students in different segments including blockchain olympiad, ICT olympiad, project show, line following robot (LFR), and programming contest at the "UIU CSE Fest 2025". The inaugural ceremony of the fest was held on January 17 at the UIU Campus.

Prof. Dr Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan, Adviser, Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, was present as the Chief Guest. Shish Haider Chowdhury, ndc, MCIPS (CS), Secretary, Information and Communication Technology Division, was present as the Special Guest. The Vice-Chancellor of UIU Prof. Dr Md Abul Kashem Mia presided over the Ceremony. 

The welcome speech was delivered by Dr Suman Ahmmed, Associate Professor, Dept. of CSE, UIU & Organising Secretary, UIU CSE Fest 2025, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. Dr Mohammad Nurul Huda, Head, Dept. of CSE, UIU.

A total of 1500 students from about 80 public and private universities and 30 colleges of Bangladesh participated in the fest. 

In his speech, Prof. Dr Fouzul Kabir Khan called for working for the welfare of people while supporting human values ​​along with technical education. He also encouraged students to make technology relevant to the welfare of the people in solving problems of the country.

Shish Haider Chowdhury thanked UIU for organising such a fest at the national level and announced that the ICT Division will always support such programmes. At the same time, he called for students to become skilled in technology.
