Police have arrested a man, his wife and their son with yaba at around 3:00pm today from Kalaiya area in Patuakhali's Bauphal upazila.

During the drive 210 yaba pills were recovered from them.

The arrestees are Nesar Uddin, 47, his wife Sumana Islam, 44, and their son Shaon Uddin, 20.

Police said that Nesar Uddin and his family members were involved in the drug trade for a long time.

Based on a tip-off, a raid was conducted at Nesar's house in the afternoon and 210 yaba pills were recovered after frisking the bodies of Nesar Uddin and his wife.

At the time, the couple's son Shaon was detained and interrogated. When he confessed to his involvement in the drug trade, he was also arrested.

Contacted, Baufal Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Kamal Hossain said, "Three people have been arrested with drugs. The process of sending them to jail through the court is underway."
