The critically acclaimed Bangladeshi film "Boli: The Wrestler", which won the top award at the prestigious Busan International Film Festival, is set to be screened at the Burning Crab Festival in Cox's Bazar.

Directed by Iqbal Hossain Chowdhury, the film has already captivated audiences at major international festivals, including Shanghai, Toronto, Los Angeles, and Barcelona, and most recently at the Dhaka International Film Festival. The film has also earned a place in the esteemed Asian Film Archive.

"Boli: The Wrestler" represented Bangladesh in the Best International Feature Film category at the 97th Academy Awards and continues to garner widespread praise from critics worldwide. Featuring a talented cast that includes Nasir Uddin Khan, A K M Itmam, Priyam, Angel Noor, Tahadil Ahmed, and Tanveer Ahmed, the film has been hailed for its rich portrayal of Chattogram's traditional wrestling culture and coastal folklore.

 

The Burning Crab Festival, inspired by the globally renowned 'Burning Man' festival in Nevada, will take place from January 29 to 31 at the Mermaid Beach Resort on Pechar Dwip, along the Cox's Bazar-Teknaf Marine Drive.

Curated by acclaimed Japanese artist and lighting designer Jiro Endo, the event promises an artistic and visual feast under the theme "Take a Break."

The three-day festival will feature a blend of art, music, and culinary experiences, with participation from artists, entrepreneurs, and creative minds from across the globe.
