The formation of this collaboration can be traced back to January 27, when Lisa shared her enthusiasm for working with Doja Cat during an interview with Capital Breakfast's Jordan North. 

Expressing her long-standing admiration, Lisa revealed that Doja had always been on her list of dream collaborators. "I want to team up with Doja Cat," she had remarked with excitement. 

While she lightheartedly noted that they were not yet close friends, both artistes are signed under RCA Records—Lisa through her own label, LLOUD, and Doja Cat under the Kemosabe Records imprint.
