Mercantile Bank PLC opened a Naria sub-branch under Bhajeshwar branch in Naria upazila of Shariatpur today, aiming to provide easy and tech-savvy banking services to customers.

This is the 46th sub-branch of the bank.

Mohammad Abdul Awal, director and chairman of the risk management committee of the bank, inaugurated the sub-branch as the chief guest, the bank said in a press release.

Mati Ul Hasan, managing director of the bank, delivered his welcome speech on the occasion.

Md Zakir Hossain, Adil Raihan, Shamim Ahmed, Ashim Kumar Saha and Md Zahid Hossain, deputy managing directors of the bank; Tapash Chandra Paul, chief financial officer; Shah Md Sohel Khurshid and Mohammad Iqbal Rezwan, senior executive vice-presidents, joined the event from the bank's head office on the occasion.

Mohammad Hossain, vice-president and head of the branches division of the bank; Md Ashraful Islam, head of Bhajeshwar Bazar branch; Md Ashiqur Rahman, in-charge of Naria sub-branch, along with senior executives of the bank, guests, and clients, were also present.
