Hybe CEO drops hints on BTS’ comeback schedule

K-pop sensation BTS is set to reunite in 2025, with all seven members—RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Taehyung, Jimin, and Jungkook—expected to resume their musical careers after completing their mandatory military service by July this year. While Jin and J-Hope have already returned and begun their solo projects, fans eagerly anticipate the original OT7's comeback and the announcement of a world tour.
According to Korea JoongAng Daily, Hybe CEO Lee Jang Sang recently shared insights into the group's plans for the year. He noted that while BTS will complete their military service in the first half of 2025, their official comeback may take some time.
"The members of BTS will finish their military duties and return to their activities, but they need time to prepare their music," Lee explained. "We are in discussions with top-tier songwriters, but the artistes also need time to reflect and prepare themselves."
Regarding the much-anticipated world tour, Lee stated that it would only be scheduled after the group's musical comeback. "A tour date is usually determined once the music is complete. Since BTS is already a globally recognised group, we are continuously discussing their next steps and artistic vision. Our strategies will align with that direction," he added.
Currently, J-Hope is in the midst of his solo tour, while speculation is growing that Jungkook may announce his own upon his return. Meanwhile, Jin has been actively pursuing solo projects, recently starring in an Otoki Jin Ramen commercial and preparing for his Netflix debut in the B&B-themed variety show "Kian's Bizarre B&B".
