Popular television actress Mousumi Nag has made her comeback to the silver screen after a seven-year hiatus with the release of the Eid film "Chokkor 302", directed by Saraf Ahmed Zibon. The film marks her return to cinema after her last appearances in the 2015 films "Run Out" and "Prarthona".

In an interview with The Daily Star, Mousumi shared that her involvement in "Chokkor 302" happened quite suddenly. "This film marks my return to movies after seven years. I had taken a break from shooting to focus on being a mother to my son, which I consider my most important role," she affirmed.

Explaining her decision to join the project, she said the main reason was director Saraf Ahmed Zibon, whom she respects both as an actor and a talented filmmaker. "When Zibon bhai suddenly offered me the role after several years, I instantly felt it was the right project to return to the big screen with," she said.

Mousumi also highlighted the strong ensemble cast as another reason for joining, emphasising her close bond with co-stars like Tarin and Sumon Anowar. "It was like working with family," she added.

A major draw for her was also the presence of Mosharraf Karim, who plays the leading role in the film. "Whenever Mosharraf bhai is part of a project, the screen lights up with his magic. His performance speaks for itself," she said.

Without revealing too much, Mousumi described her character in the film as "very important", encouraging audiences to watch it in theatres to experience the surprise. She shared, "The film was shot in multiple locations, including Dhaka, and working with my beloved co-stars made the experience even more rewarding."

Moushumi recently watched "Chokkor 302" in a packed cinema hall. "I couldn't see it during Eid as I was in Faridpur with my in-laws, but I went to watch it two days ago and saw a houseful crowd," she said. "The response has been incredible as the audiences have genuinely praised it."

She concluded the conversation by expressing her joy at the warm reception, "Some viewers are already asking for a sequel while others said the story was beautiful, and the ticket money was well spent. Their feedback means a lot to me."
