Director Kajal Arefin Ome has finally announced the much-anticipated return of popular drama series "Bachelor Point". After a hiatus of two and a half years, the fifth season of the series is now in the works.

On Thursday (April 17), Ome confirmed the news through a post on his verified Facebook page, sharing a poster of the upcoming season with the caption: "After two and a half long years, 'Bachelor Point' is returning once again."

First aired in 2018, the series quickly became a fan favourite for its humorous portrayal of bachelor life. 

Characters such as Kabila, Pasha, Habu, Shuvo, Riya, Nabila, Shimul, Sirin, Borhan, Zakir and Antora became household names. However, the show also faced criticism for alleged vulgar dialogues.

The fourth season of "Bachelor Point" aired on December 24, 2022. Since then, fans have eagerly awaited Season 5.

Although there were several rumours in the meantime, the director has now officially confirmed that a formal announcement will be made soon.

The series has featured performances by Marzuk Russell, Ziaul Haque Polash, Chashi Alam, Sabnam Faria, Sanjana Sarkar, Faria Shahrin, Sharaf Ahmed Jibon, Sumon Patwary, Parsa Evana, Ashutosh Sujon, Monira Mithu, Abdullah Rana, Pavel, and Shimul, among others.
