The start of Day 4 of the opening Test between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium has been delayed due to wet conditions.

Heavy rain and a storm hit Sylhet last night, leaving the outfield damp and unfit for play at the scheduled start time of 9:45 am.

Bangladesh will resume their second innings with a 112-run lead. Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto and Jaker Ali are currently at the crease, with a developing 39-run partnership. Shanto reached his sixth Test fifty on Day 3 and will be aiming to convert it into a century once play resumes.

Zimbabwe has taken three wickets in the innings so far, with two going to Blessing Muzarabani and one to Victor Nyauchi.
