SRK lands in New York for Met Gala debut with just one suitcase

Shah Rukh Khan has arrived in New York ahead of his highly anticipated debut at the Met Gala 2025. As excitement builds for fashion's biggest night, videos and photos of the Bollywood superstar's arrival have gone viral across social media.
In a rare and humble display, Shah Rukh was spotted exiting the airport terminal with only his manager, Pooja Dadlani, by his side. Unlike his usual public appearances in India, where he is typically surrounded by a large entourage, this time the actor wheeled a single suitcase himself, accompanied by just two customs officers.

Dressed casually for his travels, Shah Rukh wore a white T-shirt layered under a grey jacket, paired with denim jeans. Sporting sunglasses and carrying a bag, he was seen warmly greeting fans — offering hugs and handshakes — before making his way to his car.
Fan pages were quick to capture and share the moment, with one captioning their post, "Shah Rukh Khan touches down in New York, all set to grace the Met Gala 2025 with his unmatched charm and elegance!"

While there's been no official confirmation yet regarding Shah Rukh's appearance at the event, speculation gained momentum after Pooja Dadlani liked a post hinting at the possibility. The buzz escalated when popular fashion account Diet Sabya posted, "STOP THE PRESSES!!! The impossible just happened! Two titans of their craft – the greatest Bollywood superstar – and the biggest designer of our generation – are joining forces for their MET Gala 2025 debut… This Bollywood icon is about to become the first Indian man to strut his 'dandy' on the Met carpet." The post was shared with the caption, "#MetGala is gonna be exciting."

Actors Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh are also expected to make their Met Gala debuts this year. Scheduled for May 5 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the 2025 edition of the Met Gala will celebrate the theme "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style", inspired by Monica L Miller's book "Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism" and the "Styling of Black Diasporic Identity". The exhibit will showcase garments, paintings, photographs, and other works highlighting the cultural impact and stylish influence of Black men within the tradition of dandyism.
Meanwhile, fans can also look forward to seeing Shah Rukh Khan on the big screen once again. He will star alongside Abhishek Bachchan and Suhana Khan in the upcoming Siddharth Anand directorial film "King", set for a global release in 2026. The film is being produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix.
