EBL teams up with Grameen Digital to provide digital healthcare support for Hajj pilgrims

Eastern Bank PLC (EBL) has partnered with Grameen Digital Healthcare Solutions to offer round-the-clock healthcare services to its customers performing Hajj this year, through the 'Shukhee' mobile application.

The digital healthcare services will be accessible via the Shukhee app, developed by Grameen Digital Healthcare Solutions. EBL will fully sponsor the subscription, enabling customers to receive essential medical support during their pilgrimage.

An agreement to this effect was signed at EBL's head office in Dhaka on May 12.

According to EBL, this marks a first-of-its-kind initiative in Bangladesh's banking sector, aimed at providing healthcare assistance during one of the most spiritually significant journeys in a Muslim's life.

"This partnership reflects EBL's ongoing commitment to enhancing customer experience and contributing meaningfully to the broader healthcare ecosystem in Bangladesh," said Ali Reza Iftekhar, managing director and CEO of EBL.
