The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) today began interrogation of three individuals, including Tuhin Farabi and Mahmudul Hasan, former personal officers to Health Adviser Nurjahan Begum, over allegations of corruption and abuse of power brought against them.

The other person is Gazi Salauddin Tanvir, who was suspended from the post of joint member secretary of National Citizen Party.

The three appeared before the ACC today in compliance with summons issued by the anti-graft body. The interrogation began from 11:00am, sources said.

Although Farabi and Mahmudul were scheduled to appear yesterday, they turned up at the ACC headquarters today in the capital's Segunbagicha.

They face serious allegations like abuse of authority for lobbying, extortion, manipulation of tenders, and amassing illegal wealth under both real and proxy names.

The ACC had issued summon letters to the persons on May 15.

In a related move, Moazzem Hossain, assistant personal secretary to the adviser of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, has also been summoned for questioning on May 22.
