Speakers at a discussion held on the occasion of the 80th founding anniversary of Nalta Central Ahsania Mission in Kaliganj upazila of the district yesterday recalled the contribution of Hazrat Shah Sufi Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah, founder of the mission.

Through the mission, people irrespective of caste, creed and colour are involved in prayers to the Creator and service of the creation, speakers said in the programme held on the premises of the shrine of the saint.

Former health minister AFM Ruhul Haque was the chief guest at the programme presided over by  Muhammad Selimullah, president of the mission.

Moulvi Ansar Uddin Ahmed, khadem of the shrine, Satkhira Zila Parishad administrator Mansur Ahemd and AFM Enamul Haque were among the special guests at the programme.

Renowned educationist of the Indian subcontinent, Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah set up the mission in his locality on March 15 of 1935.
