5 killed in Tangail road crash

Five people were killed and eight injured, three of them critically, when a bus hit a stationed truck on Dhaka-Tangail highway in Mirzapur upazila of Tangail early today.

Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

The accident took place in Postkamuri area around 3:30am, our Tangail correspondent reports quoting Nazmul Haque Bhuiyan, officer-in-charge of Mirzapur Police Station.

The injured persons were rushed to Mirzapur Kumudini Hospital.
