Minor killed in Rampura building collapse

A five-year-old girl was killed and a baby injured after an under-construction building collapsed in the Dhaka's Rampura this evening.

The deceased was identified as Karishma, 5, daughter of Shamim Akhtar a private car driver, Moniruzzaman, sub-inspector of Rampura Police Station, told The Daily Star.

The under-construction Islam Tower collapsed on the adjacent tin-shed house. The incident took place during rain and heavy winds this evening.

Both the minors were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where attending doctor declared Karishma dead.
