Milky murder: Court accepts charges against 18

A Dhaka court today accepted charges against 18 people in connection with the killing Jubo League leader Riazul Haque Khan Milky in Dhaka’s Gulshan area in 2013.

The court also issued an arrest warrant against six accused as the investigation officer of the case showed them absconding in his probe report.

Accepting the charges, Metropolitan Magistrate Asaduzzaman Nur directed the officer-in-charge of Ghulshan Police Station to submit reports by April 25 on the execution of arrest warrants.

Milky, organising secretary of the Dhaka city (south) unit of Jubo League, was gunned down in front of Shoppers’ World shopping mall in Gulshan on July 30, 2013.
