20 Bangladeshis detained in Kolkata with fake documents
Twenty Bangladeshi nationals were apprehended today from the Anandapur locality of Kolkata for allegedly staying in India without legal documents, an Indian police official said.
The Bangladeshis were detained during a raid conducted by a Kolkata Police team accompanied by the Anti-Terrorist Squad of the Uttar Pradesh Police in Gulshan colony of Anandapur off Eastern Metropolitan Bypass, reports our New Delhi correspondent.
"The detainees were taken to the local police station for interrogation,'' the police official said, adding that "none of the 20 persons had valid documents".
