4 Bangladeshis arrested in India while trying to enter Nepal
Four illegal immigrants from Bangladesh were arrested while trying to cross over to Nepal from the border state of India's Uttar Pradesh, police said today.
The four Bangladeshi nationals were arrested at the district border with Nepal at Kakarhwa in Siddharthnagar district of UP by a joint team of police and Shashtra Seema Bal which guards India's border with Nepal, reports our New Delhi correspondent quoting Yashbir Singh, superintendent of police.
The arrests were made during checking at the international border, he added.
The arrested persons were identified as Russell Ahmed alias Zaman, Saim Bhuiyam, Shakib Ahmed Hussain and Mohd Najmul Hussain, the SP said, adding all of them have been arrested for being in India without having any valid travel documents in violation of the Foreigners Act.
