4 grenade explosions rock Assam on India's Republic Day
Four grenade explosions reportedly rocked parts of two districts in Assam this morning as India is being celebrated the 71st Republic Day, police said.
In Dibrugarh district, an explosion took place at Graham Bazar and another beside a gurudwara on AT Road both under Dibrugarh Police Station, the law enforcers said adding another explosion was reported from the oil refinery town of Duliajan whose details are still awaited.
Another explosion rocked Teok Ghat under Sonari Police Station of Charaideo district, our New Delhi correspondent reports quoting police.
Senior officials have rushed to the explosion sites and details of casualty, if any, are awaited, police added.
There is no official word so far, if any insurgent group is behind the explosions.
