‘Miss you every day’: Janhvi writes on mother Sridevi's 2nd death anniversary
Janhvi Kapoor, daughter of Bollywood's "first female superstar" Sridevi, remembered the late actress on her second death anniversary with a social media post where she poured her heart out, reports NDTV.
"Miss you every day," Janhvi wrote in the Instagram post with a throwback photo from her childhood days with her mother.
The heart-melting image of the mother-daughter-duo embracing as they smiled touched fans of the Bollywood icon and netizens from all walks of life.
Bollywood celebrities including Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar, Manish Malhotra and others left heart emojis on Janhvi's post, while her family members Maheep Kapoor and Mohit Marwah commented on it.
Sridevi, who acted in over 300 films in a glorious career spanning over five decades, passed away in Dubai in 2018, where she attended a family wedding.
She was posthumously awarded the National Film Award for the Best Actress in 2018 for her last film MOM, which was also produced by her husband Boney Kapoor.
She made her last onscreen appearance in Shah Rukh Khan's Zero before her death.
Janhvi Kapoor, who pursued the same career as that of her mother, was last seen in Netflix's Ghost Stories, in a segment directed by Zoya Akhtar.
The actress now has at least four new films in the pipeline, including Karan Johar's Takht, and Dharma Productions' Dostana 2, the NDTV report added.
