Govt not vindictive against Khaleda: Law minister
Ruling Awami League is not vindictive in respect to BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, Law Minister Anisul Huq said today.
If Awami League had adopted the politics of revenge, Khaleda Zia would have gone to jail many times since 2014, he said at a programme in Brahmanbaria.
“There is no political vengeance, Khaleda Zia landed in jail in a case filed for stealing the money of orphanage by filed by Anti Corruption Commission,” he said, our local correspondent reports.
The minister said, no ruling party from 1975 to 1991 took initiative to try the killers of Bangabandhu and four national leaders but Ziaur Rahman rewarded the killers by posting them as ambassador and other key posts of the state.
On the other, Khaleda Zia made one killer as the opposition leader through politics of farcical election, he said.
