Fakhrul falls ill, taken to hospital
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was rushed to a Dhaka hospital this morning as he experienced a chest pain.
The BNP leader has been kept under observation at the United Hospital Ltd, Shamsuddin Didar, a member of BNP chairperson’s media wing, told The Daily Star.
He was having a slight pain in his chest and was sweating heavily as he was going to attend a programme at Dhaka Reporters’ Unity (DRU) at 10:30am, said Didar.
Meanwhile, BNP Standing Committee Member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury told the Daily Star this afternoon that Fakhrul was shifted to a cabin of the hospital.
