Bullet-hit Dhaka Jubo League man dies

A ward-level Jubo League leader, who was shot by unidentified criminals in Dhaka yesterday, died at a hospital in Dhaka today.

The deceased Abdul Mannan, 32, general secretary of Jubo League of ward-31 in Dhaka Metropolitan unit (south), died around 7:30am at Apollo Hospitals, said Inspector Suvash Kumar Paul of Wari Police Station.

Two unidentified criminals opened fire on him in front of his residence in the city’s Tikatuli area when he along with his friend was returning home by a rickshaw around 10:30pm.

His wife with the help of the locals rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital and later he was transferred to the private hospital as he sustained two bullet wounds critically in his head and abdomen.
