Moudud warns govt over election
BNP Standing Committee Member Moudud Ahmed today warned that his party will wage a tough movement if the government does not hold the next general election on mutual understanding.
“We will not allow holding of the one-sided election again. We will have no alternative to movement if the government does not hold next general election in a fair manner based on the mutual compromise,” Moudud said.
Moudud, also a former law minister, was addressing a function at the National Press Club in Dhaka this noon. He called upon his party men to be prepared for movement.
Referring to the attack on BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and his motorcade, Moudud said: Awami League, Juba League, Chhatra League and their terrorist group were at the spot and seen by everyone.
“They (AL men) have committed terrorist offence. At the same time they have filed a case against BNP men. It is their part of plan and farsighted,” Moudud said.
