Cancellation of Khaleda’s nomination a govt blueprint: Rizvi
BNP on Sunday alleged that its Chairperson Khaleda Zia's nomination paper has been cancelled as part of government blueprint to hold a lopsided election.
"We think, it's an ill-motivated decision. Our leader's (Khaleda Zia) nomination papers have been rejected as part of government a master plan and a blueprint to keep her away from the election," said BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.
Speaking at a press confence, BNP Nayapaltan central office, he also alleged their party's some other popular candidates’ nomination papers were also annulled as the government is trying to hold a unilateral election and stay in power by force.
All the three nominations filed by BNP chief Khaleda Zia for contesting in the parliamentary election from Feni-1, Bogura-6 and Bogura-7 constituencies have been cancelled due to her conviction in two corruption cases.
