The press conference was organised at Madhur Canteen on the Dhaka University campus this evening, protesting the inclusion of “undeserving candidates” in the BCL central committee, reports our DU correspondent.

Some BCL men threw chairs and brick chips at the post-deprived BCL activists soon after the press conference began around 7:30 pm, alleged Rakib Hossain, a former BCL central committee leader.

Several student leaders were injured in the incident, he added.

Earlier in the day, BCL unveiled its 301-member full-fledged central committee, almost a year after naming its president and general secretary.
