Pro-AL panel bags DU syndicate polls
The ruling Awami League-backed ‘Blue panel’ swept the syndicate elections of Dhaka University today.
‘Blue panel’ secured 12 out of the 13 syndicate positions, losing out the Dean position to BNP-backed ‘White Panel’ in the elections held today, our Dhaka University campus correspondent reports.
Dhaka University Treasurer Professor Dr Md Kamal Uddin, the election commissioner, announced the results at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban around 3:00pm.
The ‘Blue Panel’ winners are Dr ASM Maksud Kamal, Provost of Surja Sen Hall, Dr Md Rahmat Ullah, Dean of Law faculty, Mohammad Humayun Kabir, Associate Professor of Islamic History & Culture Department, Dr Md Mizanur Rahaman, Assistant Professor of Department of Microbiology, Jannatul Naima, Lecturer of Accounting & Information Systems Department, Dr Alamgir Kabir, Associate Professor of Department of Physics, Dr Nepal Chandra Roy, Assistant Professor of Department of Mathematics, Md Ashraf Sadek, Associate Professor of Institute of Education and Research, Farjana Ahmed, Assistant Professor of department of Graphic Design, Md Saiful Alam Chowdury, assistant professor of Department of Mass Communication & Journalism, Dr Sanchita Guha, Lecturer of Department of Sanskrit and Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed, professor of Department of Accounting & Information Systems.
The only winner from ‘white Panel’ is Dr Md Hasanuzzaman, dean of Engineering and Technology faculty.
