Rawhide price slump ill-motivated: JP
Jatiya Party today termed the slump in price of rawhide during the Eid-ul-Azha as “ill-motivated” and slammed the “dishonest businessmen” for their actions behind this.
JP Secretary General Moshiur Rahman Ranga came up with the remark at a press briefing after a meeting of the party’s presidium members and lawmakers at its Banani office this noon.
“The slump in price of rawhide during the Eid-ul-Azha was a result of the ill-motivated actions of dishonest businessmen centring the rawhide trade,” Ranga said.
“They have created such a situation so that they can avail the rawhides by paying less to the sellers,” he said.
The JP leader called upon the government to take legal steps against those who pulled out such an evil design, and
He also demanded compensation and rehabilitation for the victims of yesterday’s fire incident at a slum in Dhaka’s Mirpur.
