Sedition bid against Khaleda for ‘secret meeting’
A pro-ruling body lawyer today sought to implicate BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia in a sedition charge claiming she met Pakistan’s intelligence agency “in secret” during her London tour.
Bangabandhu Foundation President Md Mashiur Malek moved the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Abdullah Al Masud today urging a sedition suit against Khaleda.
He claimed, Khaleda Zia, during her stay in London for two months, met Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI in secret at Taj Hotel in the late hours of July 18 and 19.
Metropolitan Magistrate Masud kept the complaint on waiting for passing an order.
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia left Bangladesh on July 15. She returned home on October 18 after spending time with her exiled elder son Tarique Rahman there.
