In celebration of Bengali New Year 1425, American International University Bangladesh (AIUB) arranged a daylong cultural programme on April 14, 2018 at its permanent campus at Kuril. The AIUB Baishakhi Ullash 1425 was inaugurated by Nadia Anwar, Founder & Vice President (Student Affairs) of AIUB.

Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna, VC, and Dr. Hasanul A. Hassan, Treasurer, Founder & Vice President (Human Resources and Administration) of AIUB were present as the chief guests in the second session of the cultural programme. The event was presented with band songs, a nagardola, and folk fusion performances. Stalls of various local traditional items and foods were setup by the students. The baishakhi mela was open for all. The highlight of the occasion was presentations by band LRB, Dolchhut, Maksud, and the AIUB Performing Arts Club (APAC).

The Deans of the Faculties, teachers, students, and high officials among other foreign dignitaries were present on the occasion and enjoyed the event.
