On the occasion of International Mother Language Day, the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) at the American International University – Bangladesh (AIUB), organised "Folklore 2022 – Symphony of the World, Season 2" on February 21 via Zoom, showcasing musical performances of different languages and cultures from around the world.

The idea of the event was to encourage cross-cultural acceptance among our youth, prioritising working in harmony, and valuing each other.

Folklore 2022 commemorated the incredible rhythms of young talents from across the globe, both in their native tongues, and contemporary originals/covers of their choice. The event showcased around 39 performances by students of 19 institutions from 9 countries around the world, and reached nearly 10,000 people through its online platforms and social media pages. 

The participation of the students and staff of all the institutions not only enriched the program further, but stood testament to the idea that diversity does not have to divide, rather it can unite.
