BUBT organises seminar on dengue awareness 

Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) organised a seminar titled "Dengue Protirodhe Sochetonotamulok Sobha" at the Hall Room of the Permanent Campus, Rupnagar, Mirpur on September 4, 2019. 

Lieutenant General Dr. AKM Zafrullah Siddiq (Retd), Convener, Administrative and Security Advisory Committee, and Member, BUBT Trust spoke at the programme as chief guest. Dr. Rizwanul Ahsan, Assistant Professor, Dhaka Shishu Hospital spoke on clinical aspect of dengue, while Dr. Mahmuda Ali, Assistant Health Officer, Zone 2, Dhaka North City Corporation spoke on source reduction of Aedes mosquitos as special guest.

Prof. Md. Enayet Hossain Miah, Treasurer, BUBT presided over the seminar. Dr. Kazi Noor-ul Ferdous, Associate Professor, Dhaka Shishu Hospital, and Convener, Health & Safety Advisory Committee of BUBT and Member, BUBT Trust coordinated the programme. Prof. Mian Lutfar Rahman, Advisor, Students' Affairs, BUBT was also present.

Deans of all faculties, Registrar, Controller of Exams., Chairmen of different departments, Joint Registrar, Proctor, Officials, faculties and students attended the programme.

UIU holds Theatre Round of 2nd English Olympiad

Dhaka Divisional Theatre Round of the second English Olympiad was held at United International University (UIU) recently. Students from across different schools and colleges of Dhaka division took part in the competition divided into six groups, where participants proceeded from Selection Round to Theatre Round after successful completion of their speaking and listening tests.

Prof. Dr. Chowdhury Mofizur Rahman, VC, UIU, was present as the chief guest. Chanda Mahjabin, Ethical Speaker, Haat Cherona Bondhu, and Mohammad Aman ullah, Founder & Chief Organizer, English Olympiad spoke in the programme.

The English Olympiad basically tests four skills: Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing. The event ended successfully in assistance with the 100 campus ambassadors. The next rounds in this competition is the Grand Finale.

DBL Group recognises meritorious students from the DBL Family

DBL Group organised a daylong programme titled "Academic Career Path Counseling & Recognition of Meritorious Children of the DBL Family" on August 31, 2019 at the Knitting Division of Jinnat Complex, one of the factory complexes of DBL Group. The programme was for the children of employees who passed with flying colours in their respective board exams. The programme was graced by Abdul Wahed, Chairman, DBL Group. Teachers from reputed universities like BUET, Dhaka University, BUTex, AUST, Bangladesh Agricultural University, and Jahangirnagar University were present at the event to counsel the students for their further academic improvement. DBL Group believes in collaboration and team efforts. This type of event hopes to boost the loyalty of the employees towards the company.

CIDER Junior School hosts Investiture Ceremony

CIDER Junior School, Cambridge Curriculum hosted their Investiture Ceremony on August 1, 2019, at LMR of the school to commission their Head Boy and Girl, Sport Captain Boy and Girl, House Captains and Vice Captains for the session 2019-20. The chief guest of the ceremony was Mohammed Moinul Islam PPM, ADC, Counter Terrorism Unit, CMP, Deputy Director, CMP School & College.

Chairman Nader Khan and Founder Chairman Prof. Dr. Rabiul Husain were present in the gathering. Principal Gyanesh Chandra Tripath and Vice Principal Neeti Tripathi welcomed everyone to the programme. Fahmida Haider and Clyde D'Costa hosted the programme while Academic Coordinator Alexious Serrao and Assistant Academic Coordinator Sadia Afroz were in charge of overall supervision.

DIU students land internship at Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam

With full study scholarship, a team of 11 students of the Department of Nutrition and Food Engineering (NFE) of Daffodil International University (DIU) are now studying at Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) in Vietnam to complete a two month-long internship at the Department of Food Technology & Bio-Technology. It's an initiative under the student exchange agreement between DIU and IUH aims at create an opportunity for the students to explore Industrial innovations and practical knowledge in the area of food and biotechnology.

Dr. Nguyen Thien Tue, Rector of IUH; Dr. Nguyen Chi Hieu, Vice-Rector; Dr. Dam Sao Mai, Director of Office of Science Management and International Affairs; Dr. Le Ngoc Son, Director of Office of Post Graduate Management; and Dr. Nguyen Ba Thanh, Director of Institute of Biotechnology and Food Technology welcomed DIU delegation at IUH on September 6, 2019 and conducted a meeting to discuss future collaborative plans. Mohamed Emran Hossain, Director, Administration & Member, Board of Trustees, DIU and Dr. Amir Ahmed, Associate Head of Department of NFE led the delegation during the meeting and exchanged token of appreciation with IUH top officials.

IUBAT holds initiation programme for Fall 2019

International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT) warmly received freshmen of Fall 2019 through an initiation programme held on September 4, 2019.

During the initiation programme, the freshmen and Faculty members introduced each other besides providing exposure to education and service delivery system of the University to make academic journey at IUBAT smooth, enjoyable and effective. The freshmen were exposed to IUBAT's vision, mission, and code of conduct, library, career services and other facilities.

IUBAT VC, Prof. Dr. Abdur Rab, presided over the programme.
