CEO & Head of Averroes Int'l School attends WES 2019
Since 2011, World Education Summits have witnessed the confluence of decision makers, influential experts and practitioners linked to education sector from across the world. The summit aims to explore groundbreaking innovations and encourage steps to ensure significant improvements in the global education sector.
In November 2019, the event took place at Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai, India. At the event, more than 500 schools and over 350 higher educational institutes participated. More than fifty government dignitaries were present at the event.
The CEO and Head of School of Averroes International School Mohammad Anisur Rahaman was one of the international speakers at the event. He spoke on the topic of joint decision making with powerful school-parent relationship. He stated, "Parents and teachers are the critical factors in the development of students. We should educate our parents and create a good rapport because they are the major stakeholders in student development." He also thanked our government for what it is doing for development of Bangladesh.
It was determined that there is a need to invest more money and time for educational development. To face the challenges of the 21st century we need to train our teachers in a more efficient way and the update the curricula.
EWU inaugurates new admission office and lecture gallery
The new "MA Mumin Admission Office" of East West University (EWU) was inaugurated to provide admission seeking students and their guardians' easier and better services. The University has also inaugurated the "Jalaluddin Ahmed Lecture Gallery" to arrange classes, meetings, and seminars in a more professional way. The members of the Board of Trustees, EWU, inaugurated the facilities on November 28, 2019 at the EWU Campus, Aftabanagar, Dhaka.
The inauguration programmes were attended by among others, Syed Manzur Elahi, Chairperson, Board of Trustees, EWU and former Adviser to the Caretaker Government of Bangladesh, Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Chief Adviser, EWU and former Governor of Bangladesh Bank, VC, Treasurer, Registrar and various administrative heads of the University. They expect the students, teachers, and guardians of the university would be happy to get convenient facilities through these modern offices.
DIU holds Daffodil ElecTel Carnival 2019
Aiming to explore electrical and electronic skill among students, the Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering and the Department of Telecommunication of Daffodil International University (DIU) jointly organised Daffodil ElecTel Carnival 2019 on November 30, 2019 at the permanent campus, Ashulia, Dhaka. Architect Yeafesh Osman, Minister of Science and Technology, inaugurated the carnival at Swadhinota Milonayoton as the chief guest. Hosne Ara Begum, Managing Director of Hi-Tech Park Authority and Engr. Rezwanul Kabir, Director of Energypac was present as the special guest. Presided over by Prof. Dr. Yousuf Mahbubul Islam, VC of DIU, the inaugural programme also addressed by Prof. Dr. M Samsul Alam, Dean, Faculty of Engineering.
The carnival included idea contests, project showcasing, job fair, seminar and workshop on industry and career, science Olympiad, panel discussion, prize giving and cultural programme. The programme was sponsored by HighTech Park Authority and Energypac Ltd. While addressing as the chief guest, Architect Yeafesh Osman said, "Knowledge is the best asset of human beings. Knowledge increases through practice and decreases through ignorance. We should continue the practice of knowledge." He praised the carnival and said this carnival will play a role to increase knowledge practicing among students.
