Eastern University holds programming contest
Eastern University (EU) held their 37th Programming Contest took place on August 23. It was a two-hour long contest arranged by the Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) department, and supported by the Eastern University Computing Club.
The EU Dragons team consisting of students Ahsan Amin, Abdul Kayum and Raju Molla clinched the title of the champions. Team Amra Tinjon consisting of Mahjabin Binte Mannan, Rudro Pandit and Dewan Monjur Elahi Choyon were the first runners-up. The second runners-up position went to the team of Md Sifat Khan, Ashikur Rahman and Alauddin- the EU Code Warriors. These three teams will participate at the ICPC Asia Dhaka Regional Contest to be held in October.
EU VC Prof. Dr Shahid Akhtar Hossain distributed the prizes and certificates among the winners. Faculty of Engineering & Technology Dean Prof. Dr Mahfuzur Rahman, EU Registrar Dr Abul Basher Khan, CSE Chairperson Muhammad Mahfuz Hasan along with other guests were present during the event.
