Since the establishment of Jahangirnagar University Debate Organization (JUDO), the central debate organisation of Jahangirnagar University, it has been making relentless efforts to spread the practice of reasoning among all sections of the society. JUDO is committed to establishing debaters with confident and sharpened values by organising, participating, and participating in various debates. JUDO believes that it is possible to turn a country and society into a paradise for living by holding the hands of a rational, conscious and vocal young generation.

Following this, JUDO National Debate Competition 2021 is going to be held from October 8 to 23, 2021, with the slogan, "Konthe Bhanguk Kaaler Prachir". Nagad is the payment partner and EduHive is the education partner. The Daily Star is one of the media partners in this programme.

A total of 96 teams from different schools, colleges, and universities from all over Bangladesh will be participating in the competition. The school segment of the competition will be held on October 8 and 9, the college segment on October 16 and 17, and the university segment on October 22 and 23. The competition will be held online via Discord and Zoom.  

In November, the semi-finals of all the segments will be held at the university auditorium, and the Selim Al Deen Muktamancha. The tournament will conclude with the final round, award distribution, and closing ceremony of the event.

JUDO is hopeful that the event will further accelerate the goal of transforming debate into a social movement. The convener of the event is Saimum Mausumi Brishti, the current president of JUDO, and a student of the 45th batch of the Department of Economics. In addition, Taposhi De Prapti (Economics-47), Zillal Hossain Sourav (History-48), and Nur Ahmed Hossain (Zoology-45) will be co-convenors at school, college and university levels respectively.
