Ear Candies from teachers
When it comes to bad news, teachers are best at delivering them to us. Starting with surprise tests, pop quizzes, lengthy assignments and endless homework, teachers are always ready to throw surprises to keep us on our toes, alert and frightened for the next unexpected challenge. However, sometimes, though very rare, our dear teachers have a change of heart and take pity on us. Only if it would last forever! They bring good news which showers us with joy and make me believe that there is hope for this world. Though momentary, we wish they would say such beautiful things every day.
So here I have gathered some of the things that every student loves hearing their teachers say!
1. The test is open book.
Then just leave it to us. We are going to ace this test.
2. Let's have a reading class.
Talk in whispers over open books you mean.
3. Finish the work from home.
Brothers, sisters, friends, Google, Wikipedia—lets all combine our strength to get through this.
4. You can work in pairs.
Half the work!
5. And pick your partner.
Getting the chance to pick your friends- no need to work with people you don't like.
6. This is a group project.
Even less work! Let's have fun together.
7. I forgot to bring the notes.
So there is no need to copy endless pages of board works till my fingers bleed.
8. You can have an extension on your paper.
It is like life itself has offered another second chance. I guess there is hope for humanity.
9. You can eat in class.
Say goodbye to your grumbling stomach! No more starving till the recess bell rings.
10. If we finish everything, I'll let you out 15 minutes early.
By negotiation, fifteen minutes can be turned to twenty. Oh yes, freedom is waiting.
11. The previous test was too bad, I won't count it.
This is called teamwork! Good work everyone.
12. This won't be on the test.
Good... because I did not understand a single theory we studied for the last 15 minutes.
13. No homework this weekend.
Finally a weekend then!
14. You can have extra ten minutes to finish the test.
The world is a beautiful place.
15. You can have a free class today.
Can anything get better than this?
