Card games that aren’t UNO
Don’t get me wrong, UNO is a great game. There are a million other games you could play using those cards, but it does get a little repetitive sometimes. Card games are easy to pull out whenever boredom strikes or conversations dull and carrying colossal board games with you everywhere you go isn’t exactly practical. But what is there to play besides UNO?
Monopoly Deal
It’s not as long and frustrating as it sounds. Sure, Monopoly is a bit of a make-or-break-your-relationship kind of game, and so is Monopoly Deal. While it promises to be a fast game that you can finish in just fifteen minutes, you probably won’t want to once you get the hang of it. Monopoly Deal is a card version of the board game with property cards, money cards, house cards, chance cards, etc. It’s a significantly smaller game than its original counterpart but just as satisfying when you ask for rent and buy property. If only it were that easy in reality.
Forget That!
We’ve all played a bunch of ‘would-you-rathers’ and alarming truth questions in truth or dare. There’s a lot of weird and fascinating questions that we don’t ask our friends. Forget That! is a card game that asks the questions you wouldn’t even think to ask and lets you guess the answers to them. Each round one player asks a question from the cards and everyone else attempts to guess the answers. It comes with a lot of odd questions that get you thinking about scenarios you’d never naturally imagine.
Cards Against Humanity
Almost everyone has heard of this one by now but if you haven’t yet, you’re missing out on something hilarious. Cards Against Humanity is a contemporary card game that revolves around a whole bunch of random, agreeably funny white cards and equally jarring black cards. Ranging from weird to borderline offensive, the combinations that you can come up with depend solely on your sense of humor. The only way to win this game is to be witty and funny.
Now that you have three more card games to try out, your bland days out can easily be made a tad bit more entertaining. With all of that aside, it’s important to mention that there’s always a simple deck of cards to fool around with and endless ways to play.
