Aside from emanating the radiance of a star, she is also known for being quite outspoken when she wants to be. In a recent UNICEF event she brought up the topic of women empowerment, emphasizing on how the first step towards empowerment is properly educating young girls. "More emphasis needs to be given on female education. Girls of today are on their way to becoming mothers of tomorrow," she stated. The established actor further said, "Women need to be given right guidance and right education, which is something we all need to look for." The event was organized on the occasion of Mother's Day, where Kareena was asked to speak on behalf of "Every Child Alive", UNICEF's latest campaign on preventing neonatal deaths.
