Ajay Devgn faces Tanushree’s wrath
Actor Tanushree Dutta, an important figure in Bollywood's #MeToo movement, recently issued a statement where she slammed Ajay Devgn, for keeping Alok Nath in his new movie, De De Pyaar De, despite the several allegations of sexual misconduct that have emerged against the actor over the last few months. In her statement, Dutta wrote, "Tinsel town is full of liars, show-offs and spineless hypocrites. And it seems by a large public consensus that the signpost is pointing currently at Ajay Devgn." According to the former Femina Miss India Universe, Alok Nath's scenes could have been shot again to replace him in the movie. Ever since the release of the movie's trailer, Devgn and his team have faced a lot of backlash on social media for casting Alok Nath. Allegations of sexual harassment against Nath started surfacing in late 2018, with writer Vinta Nanda accusing Nath of rape and sexual harassment in October 2018. Later, Nath's former co-actors Sandhya Mridul, Himani Shivpuri and Deepika Amin also came forward with their narratives on how they have been sexually harassed by the senior Bollywood actor.
