Music has transformed into a new wave. This wave has been initiated by the audience's keen sense of filtering music. Music which lacks talent and creativity has now been discarded by the masses. This initiation sources itself from the many music festivals that have come into existence in the neoclassical scene of music. Namely the 'Bengal Classical Music Fest' has noteworthy contribution. Bengal Classical Music Fest has redefined the norms and improved the taste of listeners. It has created a new ear for tasteful music all across the country. Gurus of the field has proven time and time before through these fests that music is not just a child's play but a field of study and research, and the one who conditions himself  to the fullest will only be able to achieve the high level of quality required nowadays.

The contributions of native musicians are exponentially increasing showing us the epitome of the revolution of music and how local musicians have accustomed themselves to the changing times. Contribution of the Fold Fest cannot be disregarded as it has been an important part of the current music scene as well. Non individualistic works are being increasingly scrutinized by the listeners and the ones that have brought their own individual art into the scene are the only ones that will seemingly last.

 Technological influences are also affecting the scene as well. Compact disks are going extinct and the YouTube and online releases are becoming more common. The telecom companies didn't seem to slack on the opportunity to release these songs on their own applications and the overall dependence on the internet has greatly increased for music in general.

Some of the popular music videos include; "Local Bus" By Momtaz, "Jhoom" by Minar, "Firey Asho Na" by Imran, "Cheep Nouko" by Tahsan and Kona, "Bhalobashi Boley" by Nancy, "Tumi Nai" by Bappa, and "Reshmi Churi" by Kona.
