DOYEL
Can you describe yourself in three words?
I can sometimes be self-centred, but I am a good person with a positive outlook on life.
What is your favourite childhood memory?
I have many fun childhood memories and anecdotes. My favorite ones are from Pohela Boishakh. We used to live in the suburbs, and the night before Pohela Boishakh would always be spent applying henna on our hands and making alpona. In the morning, we would wear our new clothes and head outside to enjoy the day. I still reminisce about those times.
If you could have any superpower, what would you choose?
I would like to have the power of solving people’s problems, whenever I am approached with one.
What are the first three items on your bucket list?
I would love to take measures to empower more women, and encourage this practice in our society. I also wish to provide children with the opportunity to play outdoors, as the younger generation does not have access to any field or park. Lastly, I want to travel to every mountainous area, and to meet people from different cultures.
If you could work with any international artist, dead or alive, who would you choose?
I would love to work with a few artists, including Madhuri Dixit, Nana Patekar, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Humayun Ahmed.
What is your favourite food?
Bhaat, daal and bhorta are my absolute favourites.
Who was your first celebrity crush?
Shahrukh Khan.
What is your favourite movie of all time?
I would have to name two series - Golapi Ekhon Traine, Golapi Ekhon Dhakai and Golapi Ekhon Bilatey, belonging to one series; and Palabi Kothae the other.
What would you do if you won the lottery?
I cannot imagine having such a huge amount of money to myself. So, I cannot say what I would do. However, I would undoubtedly use it for the greater good of all.
What is the first thing you do after you wake up?
I practise a form of self-meditation, and calmly think about the world for the first ten minutes after I wake up.
If you could be any animal, what would you be?
I would choose to be a snake as I find them very majestic.
