Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists
Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists is a mystery series, starring Sasha Pieterse, Janel Parrish and Sofia Carson, among others. It was created by I. Marlene King, and distributed by Warner Bros. Television Distribution. The series, which is a loose interpretation of The Perfectionists, by Sara Shepard is a sequel to the hit series, Pretty Little Liars. The plot surrounds the town, Beacon Heights, which may seem perfect at first glance, but secrets are revealed about the inhabitants after the discovery of a murder. The first season closed off on May 22, 2019.
The Crown
The Crown is a historical drama television series, starring Claire Foy, Matt Smith and Vanessa Kirby, among others. The series, which has been created by Peter Morgan, and produced by Andrew Eaton, is based on the life of Queen Elizabeth II. It has been released under the banner of Left Bank Pictures and Sony Pictures Television, and is available on Netflix. It currently has two seasons with twenty episodes, with the third season expected to be released on November 17, 2019.
The Handmaid’s Tale
The Handmaid’s Tale is a drama web series, created by Bruce Miller, and stars Elisabeth Moss, Joseph Fiennes and Yvonne Strahovski, among others. It is based on the eponymous novel, by Margaret Atwood, and revolves around a dystopian future, following a Second American Civil War, where fertile women are forced into slavery, and used to reproduce for ruling elite families. The third season was aired on June 5, 2019, on Hulu.
The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance
The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance is a fantasy web series, released on August 30, 2019. It was directed by Louis Leterrier, and produced under the banner of The Jim Henson Company, in association with Netflix. The characters are voiced by the likes of Taron Egerton, Anya Taylor-Joy and Nathalie Emmanuel, among others. The story is set in the planet of Thra, where, upon discovering terrible secrets of Skeksis, three Gelflings start a rebellion. The series is a prequel to the 1982 film, The Dark Crystal, by Jim Henson.
Pranaam
Pranaam is an Indian action film, starring Rajeev Khandelwal, Sameksha and Atul Kulkarni, with Sanjiv Jaiswal as the director, and Anil Singh and Nitin Mishra as the producers. It was originally released on August 9, 2019. The film tells the story of a man, who leaves his job as an IAS officer to become a gangster. It is expected to be available on Netflix soon.
