There’s no ‘if’, AL candidate will win: Shamim Osman
There is no "if", Awami League nominated candidate Ivy Rahman will win in the Narayanganj City Corporation election, ruling party lawmaker Shamim Osman said today.
Osman said this when reporters asked what if the candidate contesting the polls with "boat" symbol loses.
He termed the election "peaceful", saying no untoward incident occurred during voting.
Around 3:35pm, Shamim Osman voted at Adarsha School centre, under ward 13, reports our Narayanganj correspondent.
Voting began at 8am today in 192 centres across three Narayanganj City Corporation regions (city, port, and Siddhirganj), and will continue until 4pm. This time, voters will use electronic voting machines (EVM) to cast their votes.
