De Silva ton drives SL's strong reply
End of over 48 and end of Day 2, SL 187/1
Right-handed batsman Dananjaya strikes ton as Sri Lanka are 181 for the loss of one wicket on Day 2 of the first Test against Bangladesh.
45.5 -- De Silva punches Taijul through extra-cover for four to bring up his ton. De Silva's innings contained 15 fours as he dominated the bowlers since coming on.
End of 45 overs, SL 176/1
Tigers, desperate to break the partnership between Mendis and Dananjaya, lose another review.
41.4 -- Taijul thinks he has got his man. Tigers take the review following the appeal for caught-behind. Ball did not take the outside edge of Mendis's bat.
End of over 40, SL 163/1
35.3 -- Taijul beats Mendis with the turn and ball hits the batsman high on the back pad. Mahmudullah takes the review but it is not out.
End of over 35, SL 150/1
34.1 -- Mendis clips Mehedi to the leg-side to pick up a single and that's the 150-run partnership for the second-wicket.
End of over 30, SL 123/1
Mustafizur Rahman finds the edge of De Silva's bat and ball flies through the slip cordon for four. Fizz ends up conceeding three boundaries off the 30th over.
28.4 -- Now it is Mendis's turn to bring up his half-century with a boundary, but it is poor cricket from Bangladesh as it should only have been a single. Mendis tapped a Taijul Islam delivery to the off side and crossed over for a single, but there was no one to back up the throw and it is fouyr overthrows. Mendis has been more sedate than De Silva in bringing up his fourth Test fifty off 91 deliveries.
27.2 -- Mustafizur over-pitches and De Silva unfurls an attractive straight drive for four to bring up the 100 for Sri Lanka.
Mustafizur back into the attack, SL 99/1 after 27 overs
26.2 -- De Silva slashes a cut off Sanzamul to the cover boundary to reach his third Test fifty off just his 65th delivery. He smashes another boundary to the other side of the ground off the next ball for good measure.
End of over 25, SL 87/1
Bangladesh's spinners Taijul Islam and Sunzamul Islam have pulled things back a bit as just 12 runs have come from the last five overs. However, the pitch is looking as good as it did on the first day and the two Sri Lankan batsmen seem untroubled. The only chance they offered was a run-out opportunity in the 22nd over when Kusal Mendis was sent back from halfway down the wicket. It was close enough to call for the third umpire, but Mendis was comfortably in.
End of over 20, SL 75/1
Dhanajaya de Silva seems to have taken the bull by the horns after the early wicket of Dimuth Karunaratne, having reached 41 off 49 balls. But since tea, it has been Kusal Mendis who has taken the charge to the Tigers, scoring 21 of the 25 runs added in the last five overs. He is now batting on 34 off 62 balls and the first-wicket partnership is now worth 75.
End of over 15, SL 50/1
It is tea on Day 2 as Sri Lanka reach 50 for the loss of one wicket having lost opener Karunaratne with the score on zero. Kusal Mendis and Dhananjaya De Silva are involved in a fifty partnership with Dhananjaya doing the bulk of the scoring since he came onto the crease.

End of Bangladesh innings, Ban 513 all out
Bangladesh could only add 139 runs to their overnight total of 374/4 as Mustafizur Rahman is the last wicket to fall. Captain Mahmudullah Riyad remains unbeaten on 83 as Tigers fold for 513 on Day 2 of the first Test against Sri Lanka.

End of over 20, Ban 478/8
119.3 -- Sunzamul looks to clip Sandakan down the leg-side but falls over slightly and Dickwella takes the bails off. Sunzamul Islam st Dickwella b Sandakan 24 (56b 1x4 0x6) SR: 42.85
It is 11:30 pm and lunch on Day 2 of the first Test match between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka have done really well in this first session, picking up three wickets but Tigers have pulled things back with an eight-wicket partnership featuring Mahmudullah Riyad and Sunzamul Islam.
117.2 -- Mahmudullah clips de Silva for a single to bring up the fifty partnership for the eigth wicket.
Captain Mahmudullah Riyad takes the Tigers' score past 450 as they look to consolidate their innings after early morning wickets.
The Mahmudullah-Sunzamul partnership has been able to stabilize the innings after Tiger lost Mominul Haque, Mossaddek Hossain and Mehdi Miraz.
End of over 110, Ban 440/7
102.2 -- Mahmudullah guides it down to third-man and Mehedi Miraz wants three. There was no need for a third and it was never on as Mehedi falls short of his crease. Tigers lose their third wicket this morning. Mehedi Hasan Miraz run out (Kumara/Dickwella) 20 (19b 1x4 1x6) SR: 105.26 FOW 417

End of over 95, Ban 385/5
92.4 -- Mominul Haque falls early in the morning session of Day 2 after adding just one run to his overnight score of 175. A rather soft ending to a brilliant innings after he dominated proceeding with authority yesterday.
Rangana Herath gets the crucial wicket of Mominul Haque. Short-leg reacts well and a tame dismissal for the dimunitive left-hander Mominul Haque c Mendis b Herath 176 (214b 16x4 1x6) SR: 82.24 FOW 5/376
