ICC releases official schedule for 2019 World Cup
ICC releases the fixtures of the 2019 Cricket World Cup to be held in England. Bangladesh are set to play their opening fixture against South Africa on June 2 at The Oval in London.
The first semifinal is scheduled for July 9 while the second semi will be played on July 11. The final of the showpiece event will be held on July 14.
The 2019 cricket World Cup will return to the format of the 1992 edition of the tournament. Eleven world-class venues will be used in the 46-day tournament in which each side will play the other once in a single-league format with the top four sides after 45 matches progressing to the semi-finals.
"Next summer fans around the world will be treated to compelling and competitive cricket as the best teams in the world go head to head in this round-robin format for the right to be crowned World Champions," ICC chief executive Dave Richardson said.
