Uday’s ton hands Shinepukur victory over Khelaghar

A fantastic ton from India's Uday Kaul hands Shinepukur Cricket Club victory over Khelaghar Samaj Kallyan Samity by 88 runs in the Dhaka Premier League game played at Savar today.

Uday struck 137 from 136 deliveries as Shinepukur reached 294 for the loss of seven wickets after Khelaghar had opted to field first. In reply, Khelaghar were bowled out for 206 in 45.4 overs as Raihan Uddin bagged three wickets for 22 runs. The defeat leaves Khelaghar at the bottom of the table with one win in four matches.

Mohammedan Sporting Club also kept pace with Shinepukur as they won against Agrani Bank by a massive 159 runs at Mirpur's Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.

Batting first, Mohammedan put on 335 runs on the board for the loss of seven wickets, thanks to Raqibul Hasan and Irfan Sukkur's 112-run fourth-wicket partnership. Raqibul struck 77 while Irfan notched a team-high 83-ball 92 to see Mohammedan dominate with the bat. Bipul Sharma's late flurry, when he struck 41 from 29 deliveries allowed Mohammedan to post a big total.

Shafiul Islam and Al Amin were very expensive with the ball as they conceded 83 and 70 off their 10 overs respectively although the latter managed to wickets. In reply, Agrani were bowled out for 176 in 37.4 overs. Subashis Roy, Qazi Anik, Mohammad Enamul and Bipul Sharma all bagged two wickets each.

At Fatullah, Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club defeated Prime Bank Cricket Club by five wickets following Ziaur Rahman's 67 off 76 deliveries.

Batting first, Prime Bank were bowled out for 227 as Robiul Haque bagged three wickets. Prime Bank batsmen got starts but none were able to go on to make a big score with opener Mehedi Maruf top-scoring with a 75-ball 41. Sheikh Jamal notched up the target in 44.4 overs, losing five wickets on the way. Sheikh Jamal currently sit at second position in the table behind Abahani Limited.
