Minhajul an avid fan of Sridevi

Bangladesh's chief selector Minhajul Abedin reveals that the controversy surrounding the death of Bollywood actress Sridevi has saddened him.

The chief selector said that he has seen a number of movies of the actress in a talk with India's Deccan Chronicle. Minhazul's wife Afroza Abedin is also a fan of the actress.

"We saw many of her films and liked all of them. Sadly, her death is talked with the controversy and that's what saddens us most," Minhajul said.

"Sridevi was one of the first female superstars in Bollywood. We are and always will be avid fans of her," he further added.

Dubai police report had earlier confirmed that there was no foul play involved in the death of the star actress and as per the forensic report, her death was caused by 'accidental drowning'.

"We deeply regret her loss," the chief selector concluded about the actress.
