Gazipur plays host to ‘khude’ women cricketers

Gazipur played hosts to young women cricketers from school on Monday at Shreepur's Tengra Sheeshu Palli Campus.

In a 20-over affair, Tepibari's Kabi Nazrul School and College Ansar defeated defeated Tepibari High School. Six schools from the district took part in the event. The tournament was organized my 'Ma o sheeshu kallyan prothistan sheeshu palli plus' and sponsored by Hong Kong -Shanghai Banking Corporation.

Following competitive matches between six teams that consisted of 200 women cricketers, each team composed of 14 players, the final match was played on Monday. 18 women cricketers who featured in this tournament were selected for the Shreepur Girls Cricket team.
